Ein gänzlich neuer fotografischer Blick darauf, wie sich indigene Kulturen und ihre Menschen unter dem Einfluss von Außen verändern und trotzdem ihre Traditionen pflegen. Mit ihren Portraits von intensiver Wirkung, taucht Olga Michi ein in die traditionelle Welt der Ureinwohner Ostafrikas, Südostasiens oder Nordrusslands. In »Vulnerable« betont Olga Michi die universalen Verbindungen zwischen modernem Leben und überlieferter Kunst aus vergangenen Zeiten.

We are very excited to exclusively present a new portfolio of unique painted photographs by IRIS BROSCH. »Our body belongs to us« – homage to Egon Schiele –  is the latest project of this exceptional artist and is exhibited for the very first time.

His works are a reminiscence of the original genre of photography and at the same time a renaissance of old artistic photographic craftmanship, which is able to combine two features: achieving the highest quality and capturing the beauty for eternity. On display are 43 Photographs of his latest series ”Creatures of the seven seas” and “Of Monster and Dragon” as well as a selection of his works from “Essence” and “Muses – Homage to Auguste Rodin”.

On March 13, 2019, IMMAGIS will open the latest solo show by legendary American legendary American photographer Greg Gorman. Under the title »The Outsiders«, this special selection of Gorman’s most famous photographs of prominent musicians, visual artists, and actors, mostly hailing from the United States. Portraits of David Bowie, with whom Gorman worked for more than 15 years, as well as his long-time friend Grace Jones, are displayed alongside his images of Andy Warhol, Jerry Hall, Bryan Ferry, Sharon Stone, David Hockney, Iggy Pop, Michael Jackson, Raquel Welch, and Michael Jordan, to name a few.

After its celebrity-based solo show by Olaf Heine, gallery IMMAGIS is back on June 21st with an even more intimate exhibition – this time by French/Italian photographer, investor, and art collector, Jean Pigozzi. With around 40 small-format, mostly black-and-white images, this show will feature the best of Pigozzi’s famed series Pool Party as well as his latest series ME & CO, a cultural chronicle that the “unofficial creator of the selfie” started in 1974 and has been working on to this day.
